HSTR 437 - US-Latin American Relations

4 Credit(s)
This course will cover the interactions between the United States and Latin America in the 19th and 20th centuries. To do so, the course will be a mix of brief introductory lectures followed by seminar-style discussions of assigned readings. This course is designed for History majors and minors to demonstrate the research and writing skills they have learned through their course of study to that point. While no previous knowledge of Latin America is required, those without any background may need to do some additional preparation. Students will be expected to complete an original and thesis-driven research paper as their final assignment.
